Is it possible that over the years, there have been some who have instilled fear around the number 13? It has been viewed as a most unlucky number when actually it is just the opposite! Instilling fear of the number 13 was a way to disconnect us from this powerful, God-given divine source energy. It's time once again to remember that the vibration of 13 helps us to realign with source energy and our own healing and manifestation abilities.
For many, the number 13 represents the return of the Divine feminine including the mysteries connected with Mary Magdalene, Mother Mary and the Shekinah (dwelling or settling of the divine presence of God) representing the natural rhythms and cycles coming into sacred balance.
There are 5 Venus cycles that occur every 8 years, and within those 8 years, Venus travels around the Sun 13 times.
Some say 13 is a number that transcends matter and is coded with the frequencies of ascension, oneness and unity that transforms all things.
Did you know that turtles are considered to represent the ancient wisdom of the Earth, and have 13 segments on the backs of their shells?
The Egyptians talked about 13 steps on the ladder that leads to eternity, and the thirteenth step was where the soul reached the source of its self and attained spiritual completion.
Interestingly, the word reincarnation has 13 letters.
In Arthurian Legend, Merlin guards the 13 Treasures of Britain.
The Sacred Chord of the Druids had 13 segments.
The flag of the United States of America has 13 horizontal stripes 6 white and 7 red and the original flag had 13 stars representing the 13 original colonies.
Christ had 12 disciples...he himself was the 13th.
So, how does the number 13 align with us here at Mystic Pines Candle Co., and why have we created a signature Manifestation Candle around it?
When we made the decision to return to our beloved New England, my husband and I worked hard on manifesting exactly what we wanted in our future home and what our next retail shoppe would look like. In our searches, we both happened to (independently) find this beautiful 200 year old colonial home in northeastern Connecticut. It was exactly what we had visualized and dreamed of on so many levels, and then some! There are numerous things that make this property so perfect, but one of the most unique things about this historic property that stands out are the 13 windows that grace the front of this house.
It's very rare that you see 13 windows on any colonial home. Typically you'll see 9, 12 and up...but 13 is exceptional. Being the spiritual types that we are, we knew this wasn't a mere coincidence. It was as if the house found us. We knew that once we moved in and got the shoppe up and running, we needed to create a candle that not only honored this special aspect of our special New England home, but we wanted to create something in candle form that would allow our customers to use as a kind of tool to focus their manifestation intentions with...and at the urging and support of our friends John and Jeanne from Alchemy of Spirits, 13 Windows has come to life!
Our 13 Windows Manifestation Candle is an exquisite blend of Oud (Agarwood), Tonka and Patchouli. This combination is often associated with bringing balance and harmony to the home and invoking serenity of spirit. When burned in candle form (or applied as an oil) it aids in the removal of destructive and negative energies in your sacred space. This candle is crowned with Black Obsidian, Carnelian, Citrine, Clear Quartz, Garnet, Peridot and Tigers Eye.
Oud is a highly effective aid for meditation, and is known to enhance mental clarity, remove obstacles and ease obsessive, overthinking behavior, which tends to get in the way of our manifestation intentions.
This candle comes with a red ribbon is loosely tied at the top. This ribbon represents the Root Chakra, where much of our manifestation efforts begin! When you receive your candle, remove the ribbon, reflect upon your wishes and intentions, then tie 13 knots into this ribbon with full and clear intention of seeing your every wish come true. Parchment strips will also be provided so that you can write out your manifestation intentions. Make sure to keep your written word underneath your 13 Windows Manifestation candle for its entirety. Once your candle burns low, gently toss your parchment into the flame of this candle…know and believe that your prayers and intentions rise with the smoke…and your intentions are carried straight to the Creator through this sacred smoke.
Even though in recent time we have moved to the Sonoran Desert, we still believe in the strong manifestation efforts orchestrated through sincere faith, determination, love and intuitive blend candle work that led us to this beautiful home in the first place.

All Mystic Pines candles are handcrafted, 100% American-grown soy and beeswax, cotton-wicked (lead-free) and Reiki blessed. Please note it may take up 4 to 6 business days to complete and ship your order.
HOUSEKEEPING: Candles burn best (and longest), when you allow a wax 'pool' to extend completely to the edge of the glass, otherwise your candle will tunnel straight down and the life of your candle will diminish greatly. Ceiling fans and floor fans (any type of moving air!) can also affect the way your candle burns.
