Underdog Rescue of AZ

Our Underdog Rescue of AZ is a 16 oz, 100% soy and beeswax blended, cotton-wicked and crystal blessed candle crowned with a Amethyst (For support, stability and/or emotional balance and connection to a ‘higher power’), Peridot (good health, restful sleep and peace to relationships), Rainbow Moonstone (Hope, balance, inner confidence and intuition) and Rose Quartz (For unconditional love).

A St. Francis (Patron Saint of animals) medal adorns the rim of this candle, reminding us of how he so loved our two and four legged animal companions.

Underdog Rescue of Arizona is a 501(c)(3) non-profit foster-based Phoenix dog rescue. They focus on the East Valley cities of Gilbert, Chandler, Mesa, Scottsdale, and Tempe areas here in the Valley. They are dedicated to rescuing and re-homing pets in need, whether they were rescued from the euthanasia list, homeless, or abandoned. They are run entirely by volunteers and fosterers that are dedicated to helping those pets in need, and are one of the few Arizona animal shelters that rescues and re-homes dogs of all ages and sizes, with no breed restrictions. Their focus is on rescuing and rehabilitating the true “underdogs” — those senior pets, bully breeds, or pets with medical issues. In addition, Underdog Rescue of Arizona is an advocacy group, striving to educate the public on the issue of animal welfare. We work on shelter reform, spay and neuter education, the responsibilities of raising dogs, and emergency rescue. This incredible teams believes that all pets deserve caring, responsible homes and they work to place these special dogs they rescue with responsible individuals or families.

HOUSEKEEPING: Candles burn best (and longest), when you allow a wax 'pool' to extend completely to the edge of the glass, otherwise your candle will tunnel straight down and the life of your candle will diminish greatly. Ceiling fans and floor fans (any type of moving air!) can also affect the way your candle burns.
